Why do people thing they need to play games with you in order to gain the upper hand in a relationship? Is there any need for anyone to have the upper hand anyway, especially when things are just supposed to be kept light? I hate this whole 'treat them mean to keep them keen' bullshit, don't reply to messages/return phone calls straight away, be keen one minute then indifferent the next. It doesn't make me want the person more, it just makes me wonder why I'm putting in any effort at all when its quite clearly not worth it. I don't understand the appeal of these games- me I'd rather be honest with people and I'd rather people were honest with me.
I don't see confusing people as a challenge- they just simply confuse me. Maybe I'm a freak for feeling this way but I'd much rather know where I stand than have to keep guessing. I know its probably unrealistic of me but I much prefer to know where I stand with people.
