Cool Verse
I found this cool verse that I can relate to it goes like this
Corinthians 9:26-27 Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.
The primary purpose of this verse shows the crown as an illustration of eternal life and the race as the life we live in. When scholars and preachers look at the verse the point that they make is that we Christians unlike the sinners race for a crown that will last forever in heaven, not an earthly prize such as a medal or something temporary. Great verse to me I apply it to high school where people are beating their bodies with marijuana and alcohol I beat my body in training and push it to its limits. It is my slave and thats why I like this verse. Hope I didn't offend anyone, I'm not a very good Christian and I openly admit it but this verse really stood out to me.
