Thanksgiving Break Wrap Up

Nov 27, 2005 13:58

So today I head back to Juniata for another week. Only a few weeks left until Christmas break. I'm really excited, and if this break was any kind of preview, Christmas Break will dominate. So, here is a summary of this past break...

Wednesday: Woke up at like 11:30 and just hung out for part of the day. I played America's Army for about 5 hours. Anybody who remembers Sr. Year knows that I was obsessed with this game, and the obsession is back. Wed. night we had an early Thanksgiving dinner at the Bowser house, and Megan came out. It was a good evening, and Megan and I got to hang out for a while. She had to leave early because of the weather, but we still had some time together.

Thursday: Thanksgiving. There's a ton of stuff going on in our family this year, so we didn't have Thanksgiving together. This is somewhat good, because usually our holidays end up as a disaster anyways. I went to Megan's house for dinner, and the Kirks were also there. I ate so much food I thought I was going to die. I can't remember eating so much food in a long time. We all kinda sat around downstairs/fell asleep/watched football for a while. I went home around 8 and ended up playing America's Army for a while, then watched TV. I watched some of the WVU-Pitt "game" and then watched The Even Stevens movie. This movie is pretty classy, and I remember how I used to watch that show all the time. Influenza was the best episode ever, for those who remember. I called Megan and talked for like 3 hours, and then fell asleep.

Friday: Friday seemed like another boring day. I was watching the Texas/Texas A&M game when Jake called me. He invited me to the field at 3 for some football. I was going to go and just watch and talk to people, but I ended up playing. I skipped Meadows football the day before to protect my hand, but I couldn't pass up another day of football. It was probably the best football game we've had in a long time. Even with a bad hand I still had 3 catches, 2 for TDs. This also reminds me that Matt Mckibbin is the worst football player ever. He had a few catches that were good, but he also dropped 3 million as usual, and when he dropped a beautiful pass over the middle from Shelow, his response was "I didn't want to catch it." Honestly, who says that. Dean yelled at one point "Seriously, why are we even friends with him!" It was hilarious, and the game ended in a 15-15 tie. The play of the day was Dean plowing over Sullivan in vintage D-Train style.

After that I went home and got a shower quick, and then I headed into Megan's house to eat leftovers from Thanksgiving. The Kirks were there again and we all ate a ton of food again. I ended up being the only person downstairs who wasn't asleep. I hung out there until about 11, and it was good to hang out with Megan again. I left around 11 and headed off to Dean's house for the night...

When I got to Dean's, we got the party started with some Option Attack. I actually did not get dominated in the game, and even won a few times. Jake and Stuckey didn't show up, so the Milk Challenge was delayed. To spice things up (inadvertant pun that is now intended), Dean snorted black pepper and later paprika. I thought he was going to die both times. He then cleaned out the spices by drinking water through his nose, something I haven't seen him do in a while. Morris made a gelatenous mixture of garlic powder or something, green food coloring, and something else, and just the smell of it from 5 feet away made everyone nearly vomit. Dean and Spedkins were both gonna snort it, but decided they'd probably die.
We went to Sheetz around 1:30 and got food, but decided not to do the milk challenge. We all piled in Dean's jeep, and on the way there I wasn't even able to sit on the seat. I was half sitting on the arm rest on the door, half on Shelow's leg. We got back and Dean, Morris, Sped, and McKibbin all quizzed each other on Harry Potter for 3 hours. That and a healthy mix of Zobmondo...this is where night and day blend together...

Saturday: I was exhausted at 6, and I fell asleep for a total of 10 minutes during the night. Dean had us leave at 7:30 so he didn't get murdered. Sped, Morris, McKibbin, and I went to Krispy Kreme where we sat and talked for literally 2 hours. I came home and fell asleep from 10:45 to like 1:30. I woke up and played America's Army for a while, and Megan and I went to eat at El Campesino. Number 5 is seriously the best thing in the world, and El Campesino has the best food. After some enchiladas, refried beans, rice, chips, and flan, we headed to SuperPets and Staples just to look around. Spent a lot of time in SuperPets checking out animals and birds and stuff, and it was fun. Then we went to Walmart later in the night and I saw somebody who I haven't seen in nearly 28 DAYS. Some of you should know what this means. Then we went to Dunkin Donuts and talked for a bit, and then ended up back at Megan's. Watched the end of ND-Stanford (I hate you, Notre Dame) and then fell asleep watching You've Got Mail.

Sunday: Woke up and went to church with Megan, now I'm here. I am heading back to Juniata in about 2 hours, and I really don't feel like it. Oh well, Christmas Break is coming soon. This break was awesome, and better than I could have imagined. I caught up on some sleep, spent lots of time with my girl, and got to hang out with my friends again. I feel so refreshed after this break, and I'm ready to go back to Juniata, punch it in the face, and come home for break. I think that's all for now, this has been one of the longest posts ever. Hope you enjoyed.
