You know when you hear a lyric from a song you swear you haven't heard before, or finally just listen to a song properly without skipping (yes, I get impatient)? I heard a lyric earlier and I actually felt it suited me down to a tee but only if I had been feeling angsty at that point. Luckily, I wasn't angsty and haven't been too much for a while. I just get a broody at weekends because I wish I was using them more wisely i.e. getting enough sleep. Anyway, lyric is:
So don't presume to know shit about me,
'Cause I don't know myself from one day to the next,
And I don't pose perplexities purposely,
This isn't a game, this isn't a test.
I'd forgotten this Nerina Pallot album is quite good, which is about the only useful time I have had when driving backwards and forwards to Norwich.
I still LOVE bodycombat and have a general fondness for Les Mills programs.
I LOVE Rice (but hey, old news...)
I....(takes deep breath before admitting she likes something when she hates to...) *LOVE* teaching
There we have it. Now you'd think I'd say that generally seeing as I'd applied to teaching but I didn't have a clue really what I was letting myself in for. I've been searching for an answer and just searching for something I enjoy doing. I love the feeling of authority I get and the possibility that teenagers think I'm smart. I also love when they find something I say interesting. This may just be well, finally Becky's feeling needed because that's all she ever wanted was to be needed like a child, maybe so - but I do genuinely get a kick from helping others.
Not sure what I'll say at next placement but if there ever was a vacancy available at Bennie's then I'd take it but it's very unlikely to happen as obviously everyone else there, likes working there. I've never known such a tight knit staffroom though where there are so many laughs throughout the day, whether it be Jack Gingell or Sue Aldous setting off a religion debate again...I sit in the other corner saying *This is why I am an atheist and this is why religion causes so many problems* but I do respect Catholicism. I will take part in some of the school customs out of respect as well as politeness.
