So before I started, a few people on my team worked together to lose weight. They weighed in once a week (there is one of those weight and blood pressure machines near the cafeteria), and had a small "reward" for the person who lost the most % of their weight at the end of each month. A few of them lost several pounds.
Well you know how it goes, it doesn't always stay off. A few of them gained a some of the weight back, one is almost back down to what she was before, etc etc. We also have a lot of new people on our team.
The majority of us complain about our weight most of the time...including me hehe. I have gained 10 lbs of the weight i lost in the past month or so. it is entirely my fault...eating late, eating fast food, candy, pizza, etc etc. and with my injuries i haven't been able to exercise either.
So PPE is banning together again to lose weight. Fari has named us the Fat Fighters. I think there are 6 of us...which is awesome...it is going to be a great way to keep me on my diet for a few weeks. I definitely want to lose the weight i have put back on before christmas but if i can lose a few more that would be awesome. this is going to help a lot.
I convinced the one guy to join us. at first he was very hesitant b/c he was embarrassed about his weight. i made him realize how heavy i actually was (most people are surprised when i tell them how much i weight) and that nobody cares how much he weighs. we are all doing this to help motivate each other. so he went down and weighed himself, i am very proud of him. i know how it can be sharing your weight with others especially when you want to lose weight.
so to start my weight loss, i went and got groceries for my meals this week. i made curry shrimp and celery salad and chilled cucumber and mint soup. they are both very very tastey. tomorrow morning i will be making my turkey stacks for breakfast and bringing some in for a few of my coworkers. it is a turkey burger made w/ pancake syrup, sage, and ginger. after it is cooked, it is broiled on top of a tomato slice and a piece of cheese melted on top...SO tastey....i love this diet :-D.
so we will see how much i can lose by christams, really my only solid goal is to be back down to what i was this summer, anything extra is a bonus :-D
