The CSET is history (for me)

Feb 22, 2006 14:30

I got my final results for the CSET: PASS!!! I took the last section a month ago (Jan. 21) and got my results back this week. Ahh, what a relief. Now all I have left is the RICA which shouldn't be too difficult. Two of my classes were designed to prepare me for it so I am not worried.
Sarah Glonek, my friend who is in Ecuador for the Peace Corps. is not adjusting as well as most would have predicted. She is living in the mountains of Ecuador (10,000 feet elevation). The weather is cold, the food is disagreeable (and this is coming from a girl who would eat anything!) and her mom is having trouble contacting her via the phone. It is expected that a person entering the Peace Corps would experience sickness while learning to adjust to the program. Remember how in the good old days spices were first used to cover up that rotten, spoiled taste in meats and foods? Well, it is still practiced in Ecuador much like it was hundreds of years ago. Bleh! I hope she is going to be alright.
