so unlike the old me

Another thursday, post-Lost haze still in effect. A sweet man brought me breakfast at work and

eight hours to get through before I get a haircut at Paragon and workout session with my best friend.

This saturday I will get to do something I've been wanting to do and haven't been able to do for two years- said sweet man and I are going to a pick-your-own farm and stocking up on fall fruit, apple cider, caramel apples- the whole shebang. Then we get to hunt for the great pumpkin so we can take it to my place and carve it into something beautiful. I can't think of a better way to spend an October morning!

I believe it was belladonnaniki who mentioned that she was amazed at the fact that she was getting used to her beau behaving in considerate, loving ways. I'm there now, and it is a very, very odd feeling. I was constantly juggling, terrified to drop anything, and now someone is trying to make sure that I never get to that state again. Someone is actually wanting to take care of me and to make me feel safe, secure, stable and appreciated.

I am still moving in baby steps, however, and identifying all kinds of new triggers I've acquired in these past years. At the end of the day, though, I always have a smile on my face, and the all-too-familiar "torniquet around my heart" sensation has not reared its ugly head in a long time. I feel like I can breathe again.

My heart goes out to my friends who are going through midterms. I was really angry at the fact that my financial situation prevented me from going to school this quarter, but I must admit that things have worked out for the best. I do not envy you guys at all. :(

Also, gimpyone - you are a fantabulous individual. You just need to take a deep, deep breath and go slow. New schools and dorm situations can be hectic if you don't know how to play the game, especially when you are older than the kids around you. Remember- nobody there knows you, so you are only what you reveal to them. Good luck, sweetie. If it gets bad enough, just show them my photo and tell them I'm your hot long distance girlfriend who is pining away for you in Ohio. ;) For my services, I will require a picture of a redwood. Deal?

Oh, and for the record:
You Are 64% Capitalist, 36% Socialist

In general, you support a free economy and business interests.
You tend to think people should fend for themselves, even when times get tough.
However, do think the government should help those who are truly in need.
Are You a Socialist or Capitalist?
