i just have had the best few days that i've had in a very very long time. i'm on some high and i don't want to go low. this is how it went

on thursday, i went to boston with two friends who dn't go to gordon anymore. we went to the middle east for buck 65's album release event. opening for him was four acts...three of which no one had heard of. so, we went upstairs for dinner and came downstairs when bernard dolan came on, who is pretty much a poet, recited some poems, no music. he was a big man who looked a lot like the next act, sage francis.
sage francis was amazing. for those who don't know who he is, he is a white rapper from providence, ri. he is critically acclaimed and has even won the freestyle event at scribble jam, one of the biggest hip hop festivals in the country. what gets all of the acclaim, i guess, is that he is very personal in his lyrics (his first album was called "personal journals") i was very excited to see him, after listening to one of his albums throughout the past few weeks. he was amazing, nad i was excited that he performed some of the tracks that i knew. the crowd was all for it..especially in "escape artist" in which he says, "show a little audience participation...i say 'hip' you say..." and then the audience yells, "SHUT THE FUCK UP! WE AINT SAYIN SHIT" "and i respect taht..." i guess it's one of those "you gotta be there" things...but just know it was great.
for buck 65, i was able to get right in the front and stare at him the whole time. he did his dance moves in all of the songs, which is what makes watching him live awesome. at one point, he just stopped and had everyone dance to music for a minute, which was great. scratch bastid was there, adn scratched during the show, he was really super duper good.

on friday i had my soc small group and it went REALLY well which was nice. at night i drove to vermont with four friends and had an AMAZING time. i spent the time talking about return to oz, holding the tiniest bottle of jd ever, jumping in leaf piles, rolling down hills, eating, hiking...all day saturday i spent reading by a fire, and falling asleep. i must have taken four naps ont he floor it was great. it was so peaceful. i spent saturday night jumpking off a swing into a pile of leaves until i had to go home. when i got out of the car, there was a pile of leaves that i left behind on the seat.

saturday night i went to a friends apartment and just chilled utnil i fell asleep with my head on her butt. i have adopted my own bed in their apartment, a bed mat in a little nook wiht a window, and i was finlaly able to use it.

now i'm home, i have some work to do but i'm not nervous (oh wiat i just rememebered that i have an exam i forgot about...whoops.) i'm going to my professor that i ta for's apartment for a ta party (it's the last quad for one of us) which will be nice.

overall, i'm happy about life and nature.

i think that i'm going to take a year off after graduation and work at a national park. it's an excited idea.
