Tonight I went to see the AHS musical. I was floored. Heather, as usual, stunned me with a voice that seems better each time I hear it. She looked wonderful. I was glad to find that she wasn't stuffed into a supporting background voice- it's a waste of talent not to put her in the spotlight where she can sing to the rafters. I was also happy to find she didn't have to carry the whole thing on her own. The girls had real talent this year, especially the lead. That girl does not belong at American. Julliard, get ready! And the boys had actual voices this time. I was happy to hear that (so were my ears). I was very proud to see Randy in the musical- I miss him dearly and he blew me away with flying feet. The choriography was new, improved, and all sorts of challenging in a way I haven't seen AHS attempt. The insertion of breakdancing moves and swing really made it fly. An excellent job.
