So, I must say right now that my weeked was fantastic up until the last 1/2 hour of Sunday night. I had a WONDERFUL time Friday when Alicia had her senior recital (and she SANG like an ANGEL!!!!). Dinner afterwards was aaah-mazing! Saturday was pretty fun.... spent the day cleaning the room with Jules and then went out to PAR-TAY that night. Was extremely fun, highlights being: 1.)Staying up until 5:15am 2.) Giving Danny a back massage 3.)All around ENJOYING being with Jules, Kat, Angela, Chris & all their friends I had never met.
Sunday, after 6 hours of sleep, was snatched away by Alicia to go see Phantom of the Opera again. Many miles and many stores later ended up having dinner with Alicia, Liz & Stephie (I <3 you all!) in Covina?? Arcadia??? Azuza?? whatever. We all head back into Redlands for a fun night at Kat's... and then the madness ensues.
While learning how to Celtic Dance, more specifically how to do a "heel click," I landed wrong, turned my left ankle under and FRACTURED MY FOOT!!!!!! This happened at 11:30pm last night. Since I had already sprained my right ankle twice, and my left ankle once, I figured I just did it again... but NO! I elevated it and iced it for an hour and a half while my healer friends Ali & Stephie did all they could to take the pain away. When I finally had to get up to go pee, I realized I could not put ANY weight on it, so, like good friends, they all took me to the ER. By the time I got out, got my vicodin & was back in the dorm ready for sleep, it was 4 am. When I woke up at 12:30pm today, I realized that it had been over 12 hours since the "accident" and I still had not called my parents.
Let me say now, my parents FREAKED OUT! I knew that if I had called them at 3 am when I was still in the hospital, they would have immediately gotten in the car and driven out here... and I really did not need them at the time (I LOVE MY REDLANDS FAMILY).... so anyhoo, things are in order now and I just found something in Bazy's LJ that I need to share with the rest of my college friends:
Click here for the condensed 15 min. Phantom of the Opera. Ali, Lizzy, Jules, Stephie... you may die if you don't read this... Cory, this is probably NOT your thing.
