Wher did I go? Where have i been? I dunno, everywhere and nowhere i suppose.
Things are the same for the most part.
A few weeks back I met Christy, Rose and Sara at Valentino's. Just for everyone's future reference: Valentino's is not a fancy Italian resturaunt. So, I was overdressed for a dance club but the only thing I regretted was the choice of footwear... Everytime I did some bendy type dance moves, my feet wanted to slide out from under me. Since I was totally expecting a sit-down type of evening, I didn't bring earplugs, but I remembered that I was carrying a pair, the pair that my sister gave me, in my backpack in my car. I got the usual ribbing about being an old man, but I'm glad I got them because I was starting to get a headache... but I kept my hearing afterwards.
I had a good time overall but i get antsy after dancing for more than 2 hours. It's nor fun for me after that... because I'm not trying to hook up with anyone... perhaps that's the problem. Blehh, that's the last place I wanna get some from.
What else... Oh, Janis and I went to Sidi Bou in Anoka. It's a middle-eastern cuisine resturaunt. It was a scary place, primarily in the way food safety violations are, but the food was phenomenal. Plus it was a resonable 'Apple-bee's-ish' price range and there was a ton a food left over. Janis and I split it up and I had enough for two more meals afterwards.
Other news: I've been hired on full-time at St. Jude Medical and my apathy is higher than its been in a long time. I'm just not excited by the prospects of full-time employement with benefits. I suppose some of that is because of that feeling most people get when they've got something more stable and they don't want to feel tied down. But I think most of it is because this isn't what I want to be tied down by. But I've got a rough plan forming in my head as I speak. A plan involving school, either quitting or transferring to 2nd shift and tuition reimbursment. But at the very least I'm going to get a physical and my teeth looked at when my benefits kick in and then switch jobs in the winter if things don't improve in my department by then. Any advice or input from anyone would be much appreciated.
And now to the real reason for the late-late update: The 1st webisode of the mini-series, 'The Apartment' has been filmed, edited and posted to www.ericandsam.com. More webisodes to follow next week when my busy week and Eric's busy weekend is finished.
The results are better then I thought plus there's more footage than we orginally wrote for... ahh, gotta love those serendipitous improv moments.
So, go check it out and let us know what ya think? Good or bad, we can take it. We'll only get better with practice and suggestions.
