I treid throwing a party on Friday of last weekend. No one showed up but that's not a beig deal. Half of the people I was going to invite were going to be hanging out in St cloud the next day, so they were a no-go. The rest I either invited rather late into the week or had already made plans.
So on Saturday I headed up to St. Cloud to see the Ivy crew. It was a 'boy's night out ' consisting of Abe, Adam, Kinger, Szarz, Pete and Brian made it seven total counting myself.
I got to St. cloud last due prior errand and sammich running. The ride up was uneventful... driving in the rain is kinda relaxing. Mainly listened to primal scream and prodigy remixes on the ride. I think I got there around 8:30ish right when the rest of the group was double-blind deep into their first game of poker. Ahh, somethings never die... just get better with age.
I discovered some forgotten mini-botttles of Irish cream I bought last time I was up there... so cream and cards it was. We played one more game of Hold'em and then headed to the bars.
We took a cab to the bars but first pete had to stop at the ATM. Then we walked to the bars, first the Press, then D.B's I think and then to the Red Carpet. I got a walking bug in me and decided to head to Superstars but first I stopped thru McRudy's, not seeing anyone I knew, proceeded to head to superstars. But they were closed... very odd. I went back to the Press and then got hungry and a full bladder. I ordered a burger to go and when the check came I had to sign my name twice because my handing writing was so bad.
During all this, some of us got seperated... Szarz walked home, Brian rode home in a cab with some randomsters, We lost Pete, and I found Kinger, adam and Abe outside perkins when I left with my burger in tow.
But Brian's story topped everyone's. After riding home in the cab, he got out to give his dollar to the cabbie and the rest of the riders walked out and walked away. So Brian gave his dollar and took off around the building. Apparently he was chilling in the laundry room, waiting for someone to come home because the door was locked. When in actuality Szars had made it home before everyone else and locked the door.
Anyway, so Brian was sitting on the washing machines waiting when the cab driver found him and wanted the rest of the fair. So Brian bolted. He started running around the building hallways... at some point the security started to get involved. Brian again was hiding in a laundry room and security found him. so he pushed the door, which pushed the security guy out of the way and started running around the hallways. Security called for backup and backup arrived right when the 1st security guy pushed/tripped Brian when he was chasing him down a flight of stairs. Brian did mention that he felt like getting into a tustle that night but I don't think thats what he meant.
So, after the 1st security guy had Brian 'cornered' he told the backup that he 'had it under control'. Brian was dialing everyone that went out but no one answered their phones. Security was going to take him in, Brian told the guy that he was sitting and waiting for friends to come home but that he was bothering Brian... so Brian finally got a hold of Cassie and chilled out over there for at least an hour. (That was the gist of it, but I may have some timeline items or details mixed up)
Needless to say, Brian was the last one to come home and we were all surprised by the story... I didn't believe him until the morning when I saw the marks on his face from when the security guy tripped him into a wall.
I half-heartedly decided I wasn't going to drink much but I broke that decision and decided to crash there.
Good times as always.
