Discernment

Tonight sleep is impossible

I see her when I close my eyes.
The multitude of shapes
her lips make.

And the void of night seems
Forever dark.

I send packets of data
Tiny messages into it
With the hopes
To make that impossible reach.

Listening for some sort of meaning.
Between the phrases, the pauses, the middle…
I ask the moon, but seems
Sides have been taken.

Its duck duck
Grey duck
But I’m stuck.

My mind is filled with theories
Conspiracies
nothing sticks

I lean on trust, patience, and a word
I seem to always forget

meanwhile…

Evian spells naive backwards.
