38 degrees...and my temper boiled over

today was ridiculous hot.  i went to the temples bright and early.  angkor wat was amazing, but really crowded.  i ate lunch early and headed over to bayon which had me in awe.  it was lunch for everyone else, so it was really quiet when i was there.  hardly anyone, which was GREAT!  it was just the solo travelers around.  so i met a woman from denmark and another from hong kong who were both on their own.  as the crowds returned from lunch, i moved over to ta phrom, which is completely overun by trees and their roots.  promise i will have pictures when i get back to bangkok.  in the meantime, i leave you with a "that is so me" story....

at ta phrom a big group of french tourists were in front of me blocking an entrance.  they were oooing and awwing over a kid trying to sell them postcards.  he looked about 3 or 4 years old.  so cute!  instead of buying from him, they started taking pictures of him.  i figured they would at least give him the dollar he was selling the postcards for, but they didn't!  they jsut kept walking on, and the boy followed after them.  so i was right behind them and asked them if they were going to pay him since they still took something from him.  they didn't really understand english, so i started sign languaging to them... sort of a charades telling them "you're fucked up.  you need to pay."  they went for their wallets and searched for money and didn' come up with anything.  so then i started taking pictures of them with my flash on.  they started covering their faces and started getting mad at me when i started laughing and pointing at them and taking pictures of them.  ugh... to boot they were FRENCH!  colonizers!  oh that was fun.
