Dear Massachusetts Politician-Types (and so on and so forth),
I understand the election in Masschusetts regarding the new healthcare system is important. I know you are concerned with its outcome. This is entirely acceptable.
However, calling my house multiple times every hour for "announcements," speeches about who we should vote for, and polls, then calling my personal cellphone is unacceptable. I do not even give my cellphone number out unless I need to. The only thing these calls achieve is the discouragement of my family to vote (or answer the phone). I've never seen such an aggressive tactic, and I hope it will not be used again in the future.
At the risk of sounding like a self-absorbed member of Generation Y, I hope you are happy; your relentless phone-spam has successfully convinced me to not cast any votes regarding this campaign.
Not that my single vote even matters,
Lisa
