M.I.A.

Just a heads up for people; I'll probably be M.I.A. up until around September 5th. I hate going without a computer for so long but, I'm excited as to where I'm going. Home. Back to PA. I'm going to see my brothers and Shaun!

Our compy crashed there so, internet is a no go there. Unless I make a trip to the library...hmm.

I was really hoping, though, that Sarah would let me borrow Iby, her laptop. But, that's a 'declined' to. I wanted to work on some photoshoping for a comic we're working on.

Ah well.

All in all, I think I need a break from the city. I don't know how people can live here 24/7 and still be incredibly willing to like other people. It's sad, isn't it?

I think all big city folk should at least get out of the city once every year for a few days. I think it'll keep them less hostile and rabied.

I do think I know why NYer's have a pole stuck up their bunghole. Bugs, being one of the main culprits.

For the last two weeks, We've been battling bed bugs. Sarah's boytoy, Nate brought them with him from his city apartment on 14th. She got hit the hardest, having incredibly long trails of bites down her arm but, thankfully, I didn't get hit too hard. Our roomate was hit the hardest via her bed(due to a box spring) but, oddly enough, has no bites.

Sunday me and my sister, after my mother left, decided to take care of them. We were waiting on a non-toxic bed bug killing spray that didn't come till today. Oh well. Turns out Borax does a pretty good job, when given time. Anyways, we went into our room with a spray mixture of Borax and water and initiated the attack. It was pretty bad but, not so devastating that it was unbearable and unfixable. Sarah had three nests living in her mattress. We killed off as many as we could, boraxed the hell out of them and then threw the mattress out. One casualty; cost: over $500. That put a frown on our faces. Thankfully, unknown to me, I had a hypoallergenic bed cover on my mattress and that; plus being on the top bunk and not having NATE in the bed, helped keep me relatively bug free. Then we boraxed all around the room, went out to eat and shopping, then swept up most of the powder and slept out in the living room.

Thank. You. God.

Literally.

It could have been SO much worse and I am so thankful to the heavenly God up there for every moment of that. It seems to only have been limited to our beds; namely Sarah's. We didn't transfer bugs anywhere else in the house and our clothes and electronics don't have any little terrors living inside of them. Or so it seems. I pray very, very hard for that seeming to be utterly true. I just have to have faith. Sarah does. Sometimes I wonder if perhaps I should start not caring and just trusting like she does.

Ha...read this.

After we threw out sarah's mattress and boraxed everything, she went to get some cereal and a cockroach fell out of the bag.

Icing on the cake. Icing, I tell ya.

Seriously, the above pushed me over the edge and I just need a break from the city. I can't say that home will be any less relaxing but, I will be able to transport myself, in a car, without worrying about overpriced food(although gas is a sucky evil thing) and just enjoy the suburbian atmosphere.

Too much city is bad news for me.
