Serial killer AU author apologizes for the huge absence. I'm still around and the fic is still on my mind, but RL demands attention (bothersome thing) and the fic itself is still being problematic. And I know I said the same thing, like, four months ago. D: I really do want to finish this story, just can't guarantee when.

Ennk, sorry for being such a putz about updating. I'm a bit discouraged about that story for some reason, and my writing in general, but I will try and get back on it. It's encouraging to hear that someone misses it!

I remember a little while ago there was a call to authors that had given up on finishing their prompts to put them up for adoption, so to speak. If any of you still want to do so, you should just go ahead and post here so people will know.

Maybe, at the end of each kink meme, it's worth putting out a notice on watchdom with the link to the adoption meme as well as the thread asking for updates to old fics? There's a chance those authors may be watching that community but not the kink meme. i think that's a reasonable time period because while one meme is running, some people may have been picked up that would have missed earlier posts anyway. I too would love to see those fics updated, particularly 45 year old virgin.
