Off in a secluded corner, three girls were sitting, well, two were sitting and the third was standing.
The first two of them looked bored out of their skulls while the third, a tall blond, just looked annoyed.
"C'Mon you two." She said, placing her hands on her hips. "We came here to have fun. You know, that thing you don't know the definition of?"
"Emma." One of the girl's, a much shorter blond wearing glasses, groaned. "You're the only one of us who even likes these inter-universal shindigs, you just drag us along so you. We haven't even read the book or watched the movie."
Emma stuck her tongue out, just barely resisting the temptation to blow a raspberry. "C'Mon, Mel. You're normally the one who doesn't complain, I mean, I expect this from Heather." To make a point she jerked her thumb towards the brunette.
"Don't bring me into this." Heather groaned before burying her head on the table under her arms.
Emma sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose.
"Fine. Whatever, sit over her and sulk. Imma go find myself an alcoholic beverage and someone to dance with. Later." Emma turned around, her violet dress giving an overly dramatic flare that really did fit the owner's personality to a T, and walked away.
Heather glanced at her older sister with a raised eyebrow.
"I thought she hated alcohol."
Melinda shrugged.
"I'd be more worried about what would happen if she ran into another author."
The two girls paused, their eyes widening, before they both jumped up and chased after their friend.
