The moment is as painful as it is surreal, and it seems like forever before either Walter can do anything but stare at him. The sudden change in the music doesn't help, a strange, moaning guitar and a heavy drum. It's spare and languorous and wild, and makes Byron looks like a hunted stag as he apologizes for the horrible gaffe he has somehow obviously made, and flees. The doppelgangers turn to look at each other, and can think of nothing to say. So they look to the stage again, and the matched look of open-mouthed shock on Walter-in-a-tux's face begins to convince him that maybe they are both genuine. And if they are, the kid in the engineer boots and the torn white lace sundress probably is, too. He sways to the beat as another Dan and Laurie play, both of them looking about eighteen and like Buddy Holly and Nico, respectively.

And then the lyrics begin.

Shiny, shiny, shiny boots of leather/whiplash girlchild in the dark His voice is a husky purr, and gives even his doubles chills. He runs one hand down his side to rest on his hip, as if he can't possibly not do it. Comes in bells, your servant, don't forsake him/ Strike, dear mistress, and cure his heart. There are two versions of Twilight Lady, one male, and they're both whooping and cheering at the choice of song. Ursula, arm-in-arm with herself, just looks terribly amused.
