Tasmania Part 6: Industry

Jul 21, 2012 00:16

The last few posts might have painted Hobart and surrounds as a conservationist's paradise, where hardly anything has been touched by human hands. Not so much. Hobart had some diverse economic activity going on, and we saw lots of it!

An antarctic icebreaker docked at Hobart

Wharf crane looking like a dinosaur

Vineyards on the Derwent River

So many sheep!

Awesome country lolly shop at Richmond

Barley silos

A trip to the Cascade Brewery

Fancy fluro OH&S gear at the brewery

Giant fruit crates outside the Cascade cordial and soft drink factory

Beer and cider tasting

I don't drink beer but apparently this one was good.

Delicious raspberry cordial!
