There is a new background on my journal and it's making live-journal-friends reading such a refreshing experience.
Uni is back in full swing, and I am sad the holidays are over. I had a wonderful break - full of part-time work and house-work, but also full of seeing friends and doing cool things. Ancon (the EU's annual conference) was both amazing and draining. However the best part of the holidays was when Matt and I stole my mum's car and went away for a night to Kangaroo Valley. It was so very beautiful there. We had an excellent time driving back home slowly through the Southern Highlands, the day culminating with a dinner at Mark's house with him, Kristi, Saz and Dan.
Seeing Kristi this holidays was so good too, even though it only happened a couple of times. Kristi is Mark's American fiancee and has spent the last few months in Australia. But now she has gone home, and the next time we see her, she will be a Mrs! And entitled to Australian citizenship! Rock on!
So, uni. It's back, but I have only been to one class so far - it was Geography!! There is only a skeleton of last year's class left, but enough to have fun amidst all the new 3rd year students who I am scared of because they are so trendy! I guess we can always visit the others in their special honours computer lab and feel trendy there. Our Geography class will be doing field work on the Cooks River, which is sweet because it is only down the road from my place.
I'm going to stop here, before it gets anymore recount-y. I'd like to post here more, but I can never think of interesting things to say. Maybe I'll just keep it short, and then I can post short and boring things! I'll write with more stories another time.
friends,
uni
