I am still completely unsure as to what I am going to do in the future, largely due to this and other developments. Right now, I am taking it day by day.
Some of that comment? Boo...let's see the whole comment! Anyway, I am glad that you enjoyed the post and I thank you for your comments. Would you really be interested in hearing follow up stories? I could easily share them, but I question their interest level.
I really wanted to get her a sweet gift ala Rich's suggestions, but I didn't know her that well and wasn't able to ascertain a quality gift that she would actually want yet not already have. I contemplated wine, but figured she would get plenty, and figured any other consumable would be stepping over what she was serving. Therefore, I decided to just get her a gift card to Target (a location of which was near her condo) so I wouldn't have to face the risk of a poor gift. On the card I wrote: "I can't believe I actually got YOU a gift..."
Losing weight disappointed me greatly (-2 pounds for the week), but for now I will chalk it up to my sickness. If I don't bounce back by next week, I am going to come after you for cursing me with the 180 barrier. I actually really enjoy my chocolate protein powder mixed with milk, and would love to drink it all day long. I took a risk recently and went for 5 lbs of chocolate mint powder and got totally shafted. Not only does it taste much worse, but it mixes poorly so there are globules. Screw you chocolate mint!
