Del Bosque set to manage Spain?

I suppose everyone knows this by now, but still... :)

Spanish newspaper Marca claimed, that Vicente Del Bosque looks set to become the new Spain coach when Luis Aragones steps down after the European Championship. Marca reported Tuesday that the former Real Madrid coach will sign a two-year contract to lead the national team after Euro 2008 concludes on June 29.

Aragones has long since stated his desire to leave the Furia Roja post when his contract expires after this summer's Euro 2008 tournament in Austria and Switzerland, while Del Bosque has been out of management since leaving Besiktas in 2005.

Del Bosque led Madrid to two Spanish league titles, two Champions League trophies, a Club World Cup and a European Super Cup between 1999-2003.

The 57-year-old former Besiktas coach made 18 appearances for Spain as a player. As a defender, Del Bosque played the majority of his career for Madrid.
