Nothing much going on. Usual stuffs. I couldn't resist telling a quite amusing story though...

Today we got our Industrial micro test back. Now, I thought I had flat out failed it considering Dustin and I looked over the material together an hour before the test. We realized we could never cram that many organism names and gave up. On the test, what does she ask a lot of? Organism names of course (it's an industrial micro class, we really should know the species used in industrial processes).

So we both figured that was it, we would make a 50 at best...I made a 94 and he made a 90. Yeah. Complete BS answers- how I love thee! We were supposed to write what each organism was used for...I put things like "this microorganism is important in industry. It allows for certain processes to be quicker and more efficient. this microorganism is used to ferment certain foods." Muahaha. Talk about vague.

What's the importance of 2-deoxyglucose? I don't know...but I can tell you it's a glucose molecule that's missing an oxygen on the second carbon! Muahaha, full credit!

We had to explain how a certain lab genetically engineered a yeast, but I couldn't remember the process! This is were extreme vagueness and longwindedness comes in handy! I wrote a long meandering narrative setting up my statement about the technique..."They did this through a certain process involving different molecules." No points taken off for a 15 point question I didn't actually answer! I don't think she reads my tests...just skims -maybe- and randomly takes points off.

I love that class! It's complete BS! :P A 4000 level Biology!!!

If I even dared write something like that in any of my other biology classes I honestly believe they would call me out in class about that answer. I know for a fact some of the faculty would straight up tell me to drop their class. I love it!
