It's been a while.
I'm pushing the envelope this year. I can't seem to get motivated to apply to med school. I've been really procrastinating. Some of my friends are already accepted and i'm not done with primaries (not to mention the secondaries and interview rounds that come afterwards). I'm thinking I'm not getting in this year. Which I guess is what I was after with all this procrastination. I wouldn't mind a gap year. I hear that there's a program at Tulane I could get a my Masters at in a year while I wait out for the next chance to apply. But you never know, maybe I'll get rolling and be accepted? I hope so- I'm going to feel like a huge failure when it hits that I caused myself to not get in!!
I don't know what to do. It's really embarrassing you know. I don't want to talk to professors or the councilors- they all seemed positive that I would get in. So you can imagine that it's a little disconcerting to go to them now and tell the truth- That I'm not sure and haven't done what I needed to be sure about medical school. I need to work more in a hospital. And perhaps an extra year will be better for me, I would have time to do some stuff I've neglected, like really think about the future. I guess I need to suck it up and admit I don't have a clue about the next step.
Otherwise, everything is good. I'm really really busy nowadays- not like before. Now I've got all sorts of things going on. I'm of course taking the senior biologies which are getting more detailed and harder. Then Scotch Guard has pretty much taken all my time up. it's interesting.
