“Anyone who writes and claims the writer is a god over the characters has never been fully engaged in telling a story,” Chuck, then going by the name Carver Edlund, wrote in one of his author’s notes, “When I’m writing these characters, I’m not deciding what I want them to do. They tell me what they’re doing, thinking, feeling, and I just write the parts that fill all that in and tell the story.”
Evidently my Chuckmuse is feeling like making meta on writing processes happen. Bah. (Take that, Kripke?)
In other news, the disaster has finally happened - the a/c has died a tragic death, and it was totally not my fault, but now I am spending my time jumping in the pool, drying off just enough to come sit over on the patio with the laptop and writing (RP posts, finishathon fic, more character applications I may or may not ever submit) until I feel too hot to breathe again. Which has basically been every ten minutes. Ugh, Florida, fail.
Also, how does one go swimming without getting copious amounts of water in one's ears? Just wondering. I can get it out, eventually, but it gives me a serious headache really fast. Blah.
Edit: I totally went back to edit in one tag, and then saw bunches that fit and/or were amusing IGNORE THE OVERLOAD OF TAGS, I WAS BORED. AND PROCRASTINATEY. AND HOT. GOING TO GO DROWN (not really, I honestly don't think I could drown if I tried) NOW, BYE.
