So apparently no one trusts me when I say TURN DOWN THE AMP. Instead, it was turned UP because he "couldn't hear", and then as soon as the set started properly, it was clipping on the board (like, full red, I had to turn the gain all the way down and mute the channel) and as just-amp sound, it was overpowering... because it's a proven fact that you play guitar harder (= louder) during the actual performance than during practice... and so that entire set was completely ruined because no one listens to a word I say.
As a result, I'm a little peeved right now, which is made even worse by the fact that my sister / mom decided to invite along someone who makes me uncomfortable, tonight, so who knows how long he'll be around for...
I just want to go lock myself in a room somewhere here, and ignore people for the rest of the night.
