(no subject)
So the concert was awesome, and it was a much better Friday night then I've had in forever. I have renewed my obsessive love and geekiness for good lighting (my inner lightsgeek burst into flames and flailed with glee SO MANY TIMES during the show - you have no idea how epic those lights were, ohhhhman I want some), and knew like every single song because my band? Does like every single song they played. Chris Tomlin is apparently their main inspiration. It was both cool and a little bit freaky, and honestly there were a few moments of geekish pride where my brain went I like my band's version of this song better. Only two songs, but, you know, most people don't think their youth-group band does a song better than the original artist, so I felt bad and also like the world's biggest geek ever.
ALSO HOLY FREAKING FRICK THE SOUND. THE SOUND OH MY GOD. I ALMOST DIED. THERE WAS EPIC ALL OVER THE PLACE, AND I WANTED TO GO UP AND START PETTING THE SOUNDBOARD OR SOMETHING BECAUSE I COULD ACTUALLY SEE IT FROM WHERE WE WERE SITTING, IT AND LIKE FIVE OTHER FREAKING GEEKSTATIONS WHERE THERE WERE TECHPEOPLE SITTING AND LOOKING SO DELIGHTED (AND A FEW LOOKED BORED, AND I SORT OF WANTED TO SLAP THOSE ONES) AND OH MY GOD. I LOVE IT. I AM GOING TO BE SORELY DISAPPOINTED NEXT TIME I TRY TO DO SOUND AND AM UNABLE TO MEASURE UP TO THAT LEVEL OF BOOMING-BUT-CLEAR-BUT-INTENSE EPIC AWESOME. AAAHHH! <33333
Also, I ate almost an entire bag of espresso!candies on the way up there. And my brain was buzzing from the caffeine. And mmm.
So basically I had fun. But it was still Friday, and a draining one at that, and so I slept all day today, and then woke up around like 2pm and had almost an entire pitcher of iced tea (seriously, sans one glass that my sister/her boyfriend shared, I drank the whole. freaking. thing) and developed a migraine about an hour after waking up, and it's after one in the morning and I'm still wide-awake even though I have to be up at or around four in the morning for church tomorrow. AAAHHH! I need a shower and then an hour-and-a-half nap or something. Nownownow.
Oh and my sister went to prom tonight, and apparently actually had fun. Either this is a sign of the apocalypse (no offense meant in her direction, she just tends to be less inclined to have any fun at any sort of social events, apparently), or a good thing, or maybe both at the same time (me, fully supporting the end of the world? ...okay, you caught me, sorry!).
Also I rewatched the latest episode of Supernatural this afternoon, and I love the way they make writing seem. I don't know. Like, the over-use of "determination", and the "writing is hard!" moment, because, uh, TRUEFACTS. People think writing is just ohsoeasy, and it's really sort of not. Easier than manual labor, maybe (MAYBE), but ...not easy like simple-easy. Or... *flails arms* I can't explain myself, I just liked those parts, okay? (Not to mention, um, everything else in the entire episode/series, you know.)
In conclusion, there are so many topics in this one post, making it impossible to decide on which icon to use. Supernatural? Soundgeek? Distracted!Anna? Coffee = <3? So basically it will be the pineapple icon, due to it's ability to adapt to any situation and topic flawlessly (in the sense that it doesn't actually adapt at all).
