(no subject)
So! Tonight was the Christmas Eve service my church puts on, and it was brilliant and awesome and in general just worked great. I didn't do anything wrong / drop DVDs during changes / blow anything up. No one lit anything on fire that was not meant to be on fire, during the candle-light parts of the program. There wasn't too much feedback (and what there was was sort of unavoidable in that venue, ugh). We had drummers (like, marching band style), and it was epic and really sounded awesome. My inner soundgeek was having fits and squealing and bouncing all over the place, while my outer self was grinning so much my face literally hurts right now, and trying very hard not to bounce in place (because I'd have shaken the projector, and then people would have seen the screen get all wonky, and that would be bad stuff). And the band is amazing, and the singers did good, and just all kinds of good things.
And it's sort of shocking how many people I know, now. I mean, people just kept coming up and saying hi to me tonight, and they're all people I know at least in passing, and it was really a lot of people! I'm not totally antisocial anymore, apparently. I like that. <3
The only bad things were that it was really, really hot where I was sitting, and people kept walking in front of the projector, casting humanoid shadows all over it. Also, I drank coffee, which, while that's usually a good thing, I am currently buzzing around madly all over the place, even though it's late. And I probably won't sleep much tonight as a result. Oh well. :)
Also, I was wearing a Santa hat whenever it wasn't too hot to be doing so. So basically like 30% of the time. Because I'm cool like that. Or something. I don't know, I'm easily amused by my own antics sometimes.
In other news, my dad got a thing called Soda Stream, which basically makes soda at home. So now we have basically off-brand Red Bull and Sprite in the fridge, both of which taste better than the real thing, in my opinion. Unfortunately the flavorings that came with it were only sample size, but they're not too pricey, so we'll probably get more soon. It's very awesome.
I have not yet had dinner, and it's after nine. I must go do that before it gets to be too late! Tralalaa...
