(no subject)
So tonight I used a microphone for speaking in to amplify my voice while I spoke with my mouth, and thus people heard me talk. It was sort of weird, and I totally sounded like a five-year-old girl, but ....yeah. Also the place smells like coffee from like fifty feet away, and I was almost in a coma from smelling it, mmmmm...
Also, apparently the new thing to do at the mall is to attach any high-tech electronics to the shelves in such a way that one cannot remove it from the shelf without an employee present - even just to look at it, like in my case! Which is annoying, as I am a soundgeek with an interest in electronic devices and headphones (I'm seeking a good pair for doing my soundgeek monitoring, as earbuds are hardly optimal sound quality for it, and I sort of need to check the back of the packages for frequencies available through them and suchlike [relatedly, I saw the lowest frequency ever today - 5! HOLY FRICK!] to make sure they are worth the price, so I can add them to my Christmas list, yesyes?), who is not ready to purchase anything, is frustrating - I didn't want to bother someone to get it off the shelf if I wasn't going to even buy it, you know? I'm told one can use a magnet over the thingie attached to the shelf, and it will open, but I didn't want to look like a thief, so I didn't do it. This time. In the future, I might have to do that. D:<
Relatedly, omgomgflailflail, last minute things suck lots. Seriously. People should tell me things at LEAST an hour before we start, yeah? Especially the orders in which songs will be performed, since I sort of have to have the lyrics correct and in order for everyone, yeah? Yeah. Yep. Urgh.
I feel like making icons or something tonight when I get home. Here's hoping I still feel like it when I actually am at home, though... usually I lose all manner of inspiration by the time I get out of here and then just curl up and die when I get home.
