Obligitory "I LOVE MY BAND" moment, here... because it wouldn't be a normal Wednesday night if I didn't proclaim that. And because I love my band. A lot. <3333

On Sunday, though, they're bringing out the acoustic drum set... and I'm both excited and uneasy about that. Like, seriously. I look forward to it in a learning experience sort of way when we use them, but at the same time I get really flaily and upset when things go wrong, and with the acoustic drums? Uh, everything goes wrong. It's like an entirely different ...everything! Monitor mix has to be obscenely loud, which then causes feedback if I'm not REALLY CAREFUL; house mix has to also be really loud, and that frequently means the subs are clipping if I'm not REALLY CAREFUL, too... And then I have to get it all set back to normal when we go back to electric drums, which is also an interesting experience...

So, yeah. I'm pointedly not being negative about it or panicking (yet), though, because I know it is a good thing, and something I need to learn / get used to. :) Also I love the sound of the "real" drums. <33

In other news, teaching people to use .zip files is frustrating. Why does no one know this stuff?!

a/v, some people are computer-idiots, real drums are scary but awesome, sound, link, for here or to go?, i am a soundgeek, i love my band, lessthanthree
