Long needed update

I really haven't had much drama in my life to write about lately, but I thought I better put something in here. Kathryn and I are doing great. Living in Olympia is pretty good. Work is another subject. It's not bad but it could be much better if I was getting the support I was promised. I am realizing that I know more and can handle more than my current situation will allow. Also, it's becoming obvious that there will be no changes headed my direction unless I make them.

But on a lighter note, I bought a new car finally. A 2006 Scion TC in Flint Mica. It's great. It's been about a full month now and still no buyers remorse or any regret. Toyota dependability, an extended warranty, plenty of features, ability to accessorize the car, sporty styling and performance that makes it fun to drive. I am spending less than half on gas than I was driving the Bronco everyday. Now I will sell the Bronco which I am hoping will be a easier chore than I am figuring.

Kathryn and I drove around the Olympic Peninsula friday and made it to Moclips late Friday night and spent the rest of the weekend there. We stopped at the Hoodsport winery (Rhubarb wine was surprisingly good), the 101 diner in Port Angeles (good burger and float), Sekui (big letdown) and Ruby Beach (very picturesque). There are more beaches we need to explore this summer up that way. But all in all the weekend was great. Finished the weekend off with brunch at the Budd Bay Cafe in Olympia with my parents. Great buffet, service could have been a little better, but plenty selection and a bottomless mimosa left me with very little to complain about.

Now I have to study more worthless information that I already know for a loan officer boot camp. Class is tomorrow and I have five chapters to read and five to review. No time like the present.
