We observed
Burns' Night a little early here at the house, but did it properly anyway. Peter made some real actual haggis, along with turnips since he couldn't find rutabagas, and peppercorn gravy and smashed potatoes. Later we had scotch (a Speyside, Abelour, if you're wondering) and Walker's chocolates because it is hard to find Scottish biscuits in this neighborhood. And we played, at my direction,
this version of "Auld Lang Syne" and
this version of "A Man's a Man" both of which I, at least, enjoyed listening to.
And in case you were wondering, yes I like haggis quite a lot. This version had oats and beef heart in it, mmm! Thank you, cows.
