A better day (though yesterday was good, unexpectedly weird social exchanges notwithstanding). I had a great long talk with a friend on Skype, I bought a birthday present for another friend (and successfully figured out how to deliver that present despite the many miles between us). I went on a walk with Chris to the hipster village for wine and fancy groceries, and counted, on the walk back, nine Audis and fifteen BMWs. Not to mention the Porches, Mercedes, and Volkswagons I also saw. Rich young professionals like their cars to speak German, apparently.

It's chilly here, and autumn-cloudy - which is to say, very sunny and warmish one minute, and dramatically gloomy for the next ten. I've brought the potted plants inside, though the light's much poorer than the porch. Hopefully tomorrow it'll be warm enough to put them outside during the day again. We have quite the collection going - I'll have to find winter window homes for them soon.

Here is a collection of portraits of real women, which the artist has embellished with her own words of affirmation. Just keep scrolling... I think they're really beautiful, both the artwork and the sentiments behind it.

good art, my life in summary, weather: always exciting, toronto, strong women, feminism
