Elizabeth Bennet backgrounds 2
After making two Elizabeth Bennet backgrounds for Feelin' Feminine's 2010 Jane Austen tour, I decided to make a few more! =)
Please note: the text on the backgrounds may be difficult to read unless viewed full-size as a background on your computer. When viewing the full-size image that is linked, magnify once to see how it should appear on your desktop. There are 2 different colouring styles and 2 different text placements with this set of backgrounds. The wallpapers are a great size and resolution for widescreen moniters (I use a widescreen laptop).

Text: left side. I decided to do the text on either side for this set because I alternately liked how the rocks became a greater focus, or the distance beyond Elizabeth.

The text on the four backgrounds reads:
Look with mercy on the sins we have this day committed and in mercy make us feel them deeply, that our repentance may be sincere, and our resolutions stedfast of endeavoring against the commission of such in future. Give us grace to endeavor after a truly Christian spirit to seek to attain that temper of forebearance and patience of which our blessed Saviour has set us the highest example; and which, while it prepares us for the spiritual happiness of the life to come, will secure us to teh best enjoyment of what this world can give. May the comforts of every day, be thankfully felt by us, may they prompt a willing obedience of Thy commandments and a benevolent spirit toward every fellow-creature. Amen.

This is one of the few suriviving prayers written by Jane Austen, as was the prayer featured on the previous set of Elizabeth Bennet backgrounds.
