judith butler wrote these things in undoing gender. i disagree with plenty of her theory, but i think they should be celebrated for being beautifully constructed sentences nonetheless:
"There are humans, in other words, who live and breathe in the interstices of this binary relation, showing that it is not exhaustive; it is not necessary." (65)
and her epitaph for david reimer:
"Life for him was always a wager and a risk, a courageous and fragile accomplishment." (74)
