Feather in my Cap
Ahhhhhhhhhhh!
So I called my Univerity Supervisor a few weeks ago because I needed him to fill out an evaluation for my Department of Defense application. He just now got back to me (he's been out of the country apparently). This is the guy that the University sends to watch people do their student teaching. This guy was pretty crotchety, and I didn't like him all that much during Methods because his questions never made any sense to me, but he always had positive feedback. Then during student teaching, when I had a lot more control over my lesson plans and what I was doing with my kids, he and I became pretty cool.
Anyway, when I left the message I said I wasn't sure if he'd remember me (he's got TONS of people he has to go see every week, and I haven't seen him in two years.) Not only does he remember me well, he said I was one of the best talents he's seen in his experience as a Student Teaching advisor for Bowling Green. He's not the kind of guy to give out empty praise, so it really is quite a feather in my cap.
