Am I this far out of touch?!
The TODAY show yesterday had a fashion show of children's summer clothes. In the first group-- maybe four or five years old--one little girl was wearing a screen-printed t-shirt and a denim skirt with a frayed hem, the two pieces setting somebody back a mere $70. For slightly older children, there were jeans for $50, likewise pj's, and for one who looked to be about 10, a pretty but rather ordinary dress for $95!!! All the prices were in that range.
Does anybody besides the Trumps really pay these prices for clothes the kids will outgrow in a season?
I'm reasonably sure I could do better than that at Penney's, but maybe I'll check the catalog, just in case.
