Self-explanatory, really. That puddle was a lot murkier by the time she was finished.

I love the rain. I wish I weren't sick.
(Admittedly wandering around in the rain probably isn't a good sick-time activity, but two-year-olds *need* to get out of the house. The alternative isn't good for anyone involved.)

On the subject of being sick: If you find yourself ever at the last minute having to go to the doctor's office to see if you have a sinus infection (which is indeed what I have) and you're stuck bringing the two-year-old to the doctor with you because your darling SO has to work on MLK day while you didn't...
DON'T FORGET TO BRING A SNACK. (!!!)
Holy cow did she ever make a scene. I did intend to grab a packet or two of fruit snacks or crackers on the way out, as in all fairness she did *ask*, but after going out to install the car seat I completely forgot until it was too late. I delayed the explosion for a while by showing her videos of puppets singing on my telephone, but going into the examination room for the initial set of questions detonated the cry-bomb. It got so bad the receptionists helpfully turned the place upside-down and managed to come up with a *packet of saltines*. Eating that turned "screaming" down a few notches to "blubbering" while it lasted, but it shot back to full volume after I had to take her back the examination room with me to get my throat palpitated and fever measured. Only promising to visit Mommy's office and raid the jellybean machine there when we were finished got me out of there alive.
(I love her dearly, don't get me wrong, but boy is she ever *two*.)

I know I've been a bit quiet lately. No good reason or anything. Christmas seemed like it was incredibly busy, although I'm not sure it was any worse then usual. Sigh.

I'm thinking of buying a new scanner. I still draw like crap and all, but I've been doing more of it lately, even if a lot of it is *crayon*. Sort of been thinking *someone* might get a laugh out of it. Or not, I dunno.
