I found this test in my room the other day. I don't even remember taking this 'test', or where it came from, but it's dated February 20, 2001. That puts me at the end of High School. Take a look at what it says about me.
You are what VIP calls a "Purist". A "Purist" is creative and has the ability to understand complex issues. The "Purist" likes to be with people. Being able to understand complex issues, you are able to help others with their problems. In school you like classes which alow you to use your imagination in solving problems that will benefit others. As a "Purist", you like to work alone first to learn what you need to learn and then you become comfortable and are able to use this infoirmation with other individuals. As a "Purist" you like and need positive reinforcement and positive feedback from your teachers and classmates on a regular basis, but find it hard to ask for it. You, the "Purist", tend to be unselfish. Your friends like being around you and will trust you because you are kind, devoted, and caring. Your true feelings sometimes are hard for other people to get to know. Once people get to know you they find that you are a good listenerand that you will take the time to offer suggestions for their concerns.
The "Purist" is sometimes referred to as a "Creator". Your strong imagination and your creativeness lend yourself to come up with new ideas and new ways of doing things on a regular basis. Most of these ideas come to you while sitting quietly and reflecting on your own thoughts. When planning for a career you might want to think about jobs that provide the chance to express and use your ideas which will help or improve the quality of other people's lives and activities. You might consider careers that involve working with people rather than competing with people.
You are inwardly centered which means you are aware of what is going on inside your head and you know how you feel. You know yourself very well.
You, the "Purist", learn things holistically. That is you learn the concept about something, then you learn the important details at a later time. This personality function enables you to have lots of interests and an awareness about many subjects. Details and step-by-step instructions may make you uneasy and bored. The drawback to being a holistic or concept learner is you sometimes skip important details. You should learn to focus on the details as well as the whole picture.
You are decision dependant. When you make an important decision, you automatically consider other people's feelings, views, and opinions. You also make sure your decision is based on what is best for everyone and everything. This is an important personality function because this helps make you kind. However, learn to determine which decisions need other's considerations and views and which ones you need to make on your own, then make them.
You are open in your operational style. That is when you start something you are flexible in how to do it. When some other activity comes along you do not get upset at having to change or start over. You are open to change and can adapt well to any situation. Openness is an excellent personallity trait, becuase you are easy going and you base your activities on what is important at that time. Openness does have its drawbacks. There are times when it is important that a job or assignment be completed as soon as possible whthout delay. Try to determine when these situations are and get started and finish it.
There. Tell me what you think of this five year old personallity study, based on what you know of me now as a person.
