Strange Troublemaker(s) and a Missing Raccoon.

Who: Timon, Simba, Hammy, and Bones McCoy

What: Timon steps outside the little slice of paradise. There’s some kind of racket that went on. It’s disturbing their peace, as well as their family fun filled Hakuna Matata. The meerkat is determined to seek out and find out what it is! Young Simba is stubborn and persistent on going with him. Also, a member of their odd little family is strangely not at home. Eventually, Hammy will wake up from his nap to meet the three humans talking to Simba and Timon.

Where: Someplace in the forest, not far from the hidden oasis jungle

When: Now, Midday

Kids these days! They just didn’t wanna listen. No matter how reasonable, supportive, and concerned grownups were, the youngsters would be unrelenting and brash to stand tall and try to brave the dangers with them.

“Go back home this instant,” warned the meerkat to the lion cub. “I mean it. It’s bad enough worrying about me comin’ out here. I don’t want to have to worry about you too! One more step after me, and you’ll be grounded. And don’t think about turning to Hammy to help excuse your way out of it. I know RJ wouldn’t!”

Where did that raccoon go off to, anyway? Surely, he couldn’t have gone solo to pick up some food. He would have taken the hyperactive, fast-talking squirrel with him, or Timon himself. Or all of them, if it was meant to be a big deal of a heist. Something wasn’t right. He’s usually clever enough to plan his own escape route out of any tight spot.

“Kazuma or someone else will see any demon wolves chasing us,” Simba said. He sounded so sure, so brave and confident-and yet plain as day to see he was a little scared. “I could hear the trees falling too, Timon! What else am I supposed to do...? And where’s RJ? Do you know?”

Timon heavily sighed and moved a paw down his face. “Wish I knew...but I’m sure he’s okay. You know how he is.”

Simba nodded, knowing. His whiskers drooped a little as he frowned. ”You think we’ll run into him?”

“We?” Timon shook his head. “Uh-uh. No. Out of the question! What about our other family member? Somebody’s got to stay and keep an eye on him.” And keep him at home.

Timon almost shuddered at the memory the last time Hammy had been on his own for too long. The pink haired lady who saved him? There was something creepy about her. She was not freaked out or anything around one of the demon wolves whose wing just happened to rip off by itself, before there was any chance of Hammy becoming a snack. Hammy didn’t seem to be all that bothered and was foolish enough to invite her to come live with them! The others didn’t see what happened, but RJ seemed to agree and side with Timon to politely take their leave, not without staying on her good side of course.

As for Simba, he for a while wondered why RJ and him preferred to leave her be. Timon had to break to him gently that she was more than just a little weird.

Back to the present... Simba came up with a suggestion. “I know! Why don’t we take Hammy with us?“
