God, I miss this show
Click to viewThis show was my first real obsession. I remember going to the X-Files Expo way back when (http://www.sfgate.com/technology/specials/1998/03/xfiles.shtml). Holy crap, I just did the math and it was 14 years ago! I got to see David, Gillian, and Chris at WonderCon a few years back. I went to premieres of both movies and I remember getting pissed off because I was watching the news the night before the first movie came out and they were interviewing people who had seen it. THEY FUCKING SPOILED THE HALLWAY/BEE SCENE!! Mulder and Scully fucking invented UST. Or at least they gave it a name.
I was obsessed with aliens, the FBI, conspiracies. Scully's hair, LOL. I still have all these VHS tapes of episodes with the collectible cards that came with them. I have all the novels. I was in the fan club. I have my membership cards and faded car decal. I have magazines and TV Guides. I have the card game though I never played it. I have two, I think, holographic cards. I have posters on my wall still. I have comics. I have the action figures from the first movie.
I wonder what I'd be like now if I never fell in love with the show that people expected to be cancelled after one season...
