rain, rain, go away
Thanks to this storm hitting California, my house was without power for two days. The power went out at around 3:47 am yesterday. I know this because the storm woke me up, I turned on the TV and it went out about half an hour later :/
I actually spent the night at my friend's house though (and felt guilty for it because I was watching movies and was nice and warm while my mom, brother, and grandma were probably freezing in the dark at home). Kate and I went shopping earlier that day to try to wait out the storm a bit. I got a hair straightener, some clothes (which were 80% off), and some other goodies (all on sale of course). She had a couple friends from high school over for a mini-party before school starts. It was so much fun seeing them again. We ate, drank, and played board games ^_^ And after they left, Kate, Brian, and I watched Ghostbusters and then went to sleep. Well, they went to sleep. I watched an episode of the Ghostbusters cartoon then fell asleep to my iPod playing SG-1. That was around 3:30 am again.
And now I have to pack and get ready for the painful trip tomorrow trying to get back to Santa Cruz. Even if the weather isn't so bad, the roads will be hell and I don't really want my mom to have to drive them. But I start classes on Tuesday. I've already emailed my teachers letting them know that I might not be there on the first day, but please don't drop me.
At least my friend is coming back to SC tomorrow too, so the plan is to meet on Monday and watch the Big Fat Quizzes, the rest of the Boosh series 3 that she hasn't seen yet, and the Boosh Live DVD if it came already. We also have two out of three classes together this quarter. Hopefully that will work in our favor and not against us.
Right - shower and then packing. Ugh.
OMG! I reminded everyone else about it but I almost forgot that tomorrow is International Hologram Appreciation Day!! I have to go make an H that I can wear tomorrow. Then I can shower and pack.
Next Friday, new SGA (yesterday's was cute) and new Psych, Saturday I see Jeff Dunham again, and on the 16th new episodes of Torchwood!!!!!!!!!!!!
