So, this morning I get up to check on my grandma only to discover that she had left the house. My grandmother ran away. I almost had a freakin' heart attack. Thank God, some nice person drove her to the office (we live in a park) and some lovely lady who worked there came to get me and drove us both home. There is now a piece of wood in the door frame (it's a sliding glass door) so that it can't open enough to let her out, but WTF?
My mom called a home today. My grandma just can't stay here any more. She doesn't sleep at night which keeps my mom awake and she can barely sleep as it is. We're trying to get her to stay with family but my mom hasn't had time to call anyone yet and my grandma has no sense of time. I tell her she's seeing someone tomorrow and she thinks that's an hour from now or already happened. I feel so bad for my mom, having to see her mom like this. There isn't really anything we can do either. She's 91 and it's amazing she made it this far living on her own.
