Lyrics:
"How can I just let you walk away - just let you leave without a trace?
When I stand here taking every breath with you.
You're the only one who really knew me at all.
How can you just walk away from me when all I can do is watch you leave,
'cause we've shared the laughter and the pain, and even shared the tears.
You're the only one who really knew me at all."

Bond stood in the doorway of the bedroom, watching Villiers sleep. He'd arrived at Villiers' flat that evening and found that his key no longer worked. Villiers had answered the door with a solemn look on his face and asked Bond to sit down. He had made it clear that this would be their last night together, that things were getting too complicated, that "this" wasn't working. Bond wasn't the kind of man to take no for an answer, but there was no use in arguing with Villiers. Once the man had made up his mind, there was no way to change it. He just kissed Bond and whispered, I'm sorry. In that moment Bond had felt something he hadn't felt in a long time: sadness.

Bond had enjoyed the last six months. He'd told himself that it would only be a one time thing, but once turned into twice, then three times and so on and so forth. Almost four months had passed before he'd realised that it was more than just fling. Outside of the flat, he was 007, a cold-blooded, cold-hearted, killing machine. Inside the flat, with Villiers, he was just James, an ordinary guy. He found himself telling Villiers everything, but then that's what you did when you were in love. Villiers would always be the only one who really knew him, who understood him. Bond realised that his biggest regret would be not fighting harder.

He sighed heavily before turning and walking out of the bedroom.

As Villiers heard the front door close softly, he wiped a tear from his eye and curled up into a ball. He felt so empty.
