summer rain make me feel ....like punching someone
Hello all of my live-jounalettes. I have not posted in a while. Im at work and trying to kill the dying moments of my lunch hour.
My holiday in Rockland was great. Really really busy and emotional but I did get to see most of the people I love. Not all mind you. And I did get some sun. Probably the only bit I will get until September when I go to the Med.
-and all those who were worried, Jesse found my blue scarf that I left there-
I tried to buy a plane ticket to portland maine yesterday for christmas time and I was so upset and pissed off by the end of it I almost cried a lot. At first I was looking at flights on expedia. £366 return for one wasn't bad especially coming all the way to Portland. But when i clicked on the flight to buy it the price jumped from that reasonable 366 to £ 1,500 or something. Frig that. And then I went to Travelocity. Bought a round trip ticket to portland with a connection in Newark. No biggie I knew that I needed to go from somewhere like that--BUT- when I got to the confirmation page the flight left england, landed in Newark and then left from JFK and went to Maine. I freaked out. How can you buy a ticket to Maine and have a 35 mile trek into the city at lunchtime. Thats not a full trip. Its two completely different flights! So I had to ring up and cancel but they charged me £45 cancellation fee. I was livid. So now I am down £45 plus interest on my credit card and no flight home. I was so upset I ate three chocolate chip chocolate mini muffins in a row. But I can't believe that they would sell that kind of ticket full stop. grrr.
um in other words there was a terrorist attack this weekend and I have to admit its freaking me out a bit. Especially since its so close to Stoke. Newcastle -under- Lyme is where one set of the Doctors was arrested is as close at camden is to Rockland. Just the other side of the city. I daren't tell mom how close it is to me. She gets a little Para.
