after work, pat chris and i drove like crazy to make it to the show up in providence and after finding a parking spot sprinted down to the show. we made it late, so that meant we only caught the tail end of the zox (what i saw of them which was about 2 or 3 songs, they were pretty good) set which i guess i wasn't devasted by. this is because we made it in time to see rxb in their full glory. the set, albeit really short, still managed to completely own proving to be the best 30 minutes of music i've experienced since reel big fish back in june. i know they're recording a new album, so i think some of the songs they played had to have been new stuff because i didnt recognize them. if that was the case i'll know to pick up the cd when it comes out. they did play consequential apathy and decrescendo, both of which sounded amazing. after, we met the sax player from rxb, steve borth, and got to talk to him for a bit. we bought a cd from him of his side-project, satori (good band, check them out www.satoriband.net) and he autographed it for us. he was a really nice guy. afterwards we made fun of the last band finch for being annoying and stealing showtime from rx bandits who were by and large the best act there. all in all, a great night.
