So, something interesting. My room is going to be used as a set for the TV show
Res.Life. It's a tv show about residential life and RAs and it's going to be produced by BU communication students. I'm pretty psyched to have them record in my room since the room is an extension of me so in a way i'm famous too. One of my friends then told me about this open casting call for the show and I was thinking, "why not, I'll try out." But in order for me to audition I needed headshots and a resume. Too bad for me I've never done any acting in my life except for those chinese plays we did in high school (very fun indeed, long live LOTR parodies). Here's an excerpt of my current resume:
• Experienced with UV Spectroscopy, Iodometric Titrations, Acid-base Titrations, Thin-Layer Chromatography, and Infrared Spectroscopy.
As you can see, this doesn't make for a very good acting resume. SOOOO I had to make a new one, slightly fabricated, to make me sound like a minutely interesting person. Nevertheless, it turned out well in the end. Headshots are much more convenient when you can do themselves, but it's a little ghetto. If you want some samples go to my
Flickr site.
So while waiting for my audition I became EXTREMELY nervous, the kind that makes you take a crap but good thing I didn't have to. It sort of sucks because I actually had to audition with the part I didn't practice, but oh well. I also never knew auditions were so short, I waited for about 30 min and I got to audition for about 10 seconds, I wonder how they could ever pick someone from that short of a time length. I guess the good people will just stand out.
On another note, my mind is being blown away by the movie waking life. That movie is way over my head.
