Last exam finished

It was Genome Analysis today, and it went really well. I mean really well. I finished a two hour exam after one hour, and was able to answer every question fully, and even throw in a couple of paper references. Go me!

Afterwards our MSc class went to the City Cafe for a while, then Maria and I went swimming in the St Leonard's sports centre pool. I managed 24 lengths, which I calculate to be 600m. I feel utterly knackered now, but in a good sort of way. And thirsty, strangely.

Oh, and I got a congratulations card from my grandparents. My parents said not to let them know directly and instead put it into the Hexham Courant, a newspaper that all my family in Northumberland comb through religiously. I guess that must have been quite a surprise for them!

Going out to Teviot later with classmates.

swimming, surprises, exams, grandparents
