A review of the graduation

Jun 21, 2006 01:31

Thanks to all those who said nice things on my last entry. So to keep everyone informed, I will tell you all how the graduation actually went.

First of all, it was a terrible shame about the weather. Windy days plus Jamie equals bad hair and grumpy Jamie, and I really despise warm summer hayfever-bringing wind. I went for a drink with my parents where a stray olive stone caused the near loss of a tooth for my mother. It seemed that everyone else was in a bad mood too, including the girl who gave me my gown, the guy who served us at the Human Be-in, and the Canadian bitch from my year who wouldn't pose for a photo with me and a few other people from my year (it really was just her, I think she hates me).

The graduation was... well, long, painful on the hands, cramped, stuffy, and I cannot for the life of me remember the part in between getting up to be hit over the head and sitting back down again - that was just a complete dizzy blank. On the plus side, the speeches were excellent, and I surprised my parents by actually recalling what they said later on.

After such a crap day I think I can say that I enjoyed myself :)

graduation, wind, rain
